Early Life and Education
Ahtem Seitablaev was born on December 11, 1972, in Yangiyul, Uzbekistan. In 1989, after completing high school, he moved with his family to Crimea. In 1992, he graduated from the Crimean College of Culture and Education as an actor under the guidance of A. Zhukova. In 1999, he completed his studies at the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv State Institute of Theatrical Arts in the Department of Directing and Dramaturgy under the direction of G. Kononenko.
Theatrical Career
From 1992 to 2004, Seitablaev worked at the Simferopol State Crimean Tatar Academic Music and Drama Theatre. As a director, he staged several acclaimed plays, including "My Love Electra" by László Gyurkó, "Forest Song" by Lesya Ukrainka, and "Bravo, Amadeus!" based on Alexander Pushkin's tragedy. He also directed his graduate work inspired by Pushkin's "The Fountain of Bakhchisaray."
Seitablaev made his film debut in 2003 and has worked as a second director on films such as "Mamay" and "Tatar Triptych," as well as on television for the "Pro-TB" channel. In 2007, he debuted as a film director. Since 2005, he has been working at the Theater of Drama and Comedy on the Left Bank of the Dnieper.
Film Career
Seitablaev's film directorial credits include the award-winning "Champions from the Backstreets" (2012), for which he received the "Golden Duke" award at the 3rd Odessa International Film Festival. His other notable films include "Haytarma" (2013), "The Crimean Tatars" (2014), and "Cyborgs: Heroes Never Die" (2017).
Personal Life
Seitablaev is married to Iryna Diadiura and has four children: two daughters and two sons. His family maintains a low profile regarding their personal lives.
