Overcoming Adversity
Aiden's condition, known as hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), came to light during his mother's 26th-week pregnancy ultrasound. Doctors recommended an abortion, stating they could not locate Aiden's stomach. However, his mother refused, determined to give him a fighting chance.
A Series of Surgeries and Challenges
Since birth, Aiden has undergone six major surgeries to correct his heart condition and its complications. He is also on a daily regimen of eight medications. Despite the challenges, Aiden's determination has never wavered.
