Biography of Alan Jerry
Alan Jerry was born in 1928 in New York, United States. He grew up in a not very wealthy family during the time of the Great Depression. Despite the economic challenges, his father worked hard to ensure that their family had enough food and clothing.

In 1946, Jerry dropped out of school and joined the United States Marine Corps. He aspired to take a course in aircraft electrical systems repair and maintenance. After leaving the armed forces in 1949, he enrolled at New York University to study television equipment while simultaneously starting his own business.
In 1951, Alan Jerry opened a small shop in New York where people could purchase and repair televisions. Many customers came to him with complaints about poor television reception, sparking the idea in Jerry's entrepreneurial mind of creating a local television network in areas with weak signal. Although it was a complex system, it worked remarkably well.
In 1955, Alan Jerry met representatives from Jerrold Electronics, a pioneer in television equipment. They offered him the opportunity to create large-scale cable systems that could transmit television channels over long distances without compromising quality. This breakthrough in cable television occurred in 1956.
In 1978, Alan Jerry took a loan of $5.2 million to further develop his cable network. Today, he is the creator of one of the largest cable television networks in the United States. Alan Jerry is one of the wealthiest individuals in the country.
He currently resides in Sullivan with his wife, Sandra. The couple has three children: two daughters named Robin and Annuliza, and a son named Adam. Their daughters are married and live nearby, while their son Adam recently graduated from Syracuse University with a law degree.
Alan Jerry owns several luxurious mansions both within the United States and abroad. However, he spends most of his time in his mansion in Sullivan, as it is located near the headquarters of his company, "Ferndale."
