Elénna Youbak was born on October 3, 1975, in Downey, California, to Mexican and Puerto Rican parents. At the tender age of 4, she made her acting debut in the independent film "The Alvarados." Her first credited role came at age 17 in the television series "The Torkelsons."

Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Youbak appeared in numerous television shows, including "ABC Afterschool Specials," "L.A. Law," and "The Wonder Years." In 1993, she secured a supporting role in "Sister Act 2."
