Early CareerAlberto Tiago, a Brazilian footballer, began his professional career playing for various clubs in his home country, including Guarani (Campinas), Paraná, Remo, and Cabofriense. He later moved to the Netherlands to join Feyenoord's reserve team before returning to Brazil to play for Bragantino, scoring 2 goals in 3 appearances.
Moldavian Adventure
In October 2006, Tiago made the move to Moldova, signing a five-year contract with Sheriff Tiraspol. He made his league debut on October 14, 2006, as a substitute in a match against Iskra-Stal. During his tenure with Sheriff, Tiago helped the team win two Moldavian National Division titles, a Moldovan Cup, and a Moldovan Super Cup.
Time in Bucharest
In June 2008, Tiago transferred to Romania's FC Dinamo București on a "3+2" contract, earning an annual salary of $120,000. Dinamo reportedly paid Sheriff 450,000 euros for Tiago's services. However, his time in Bucharest was short-lived, as he only played six matches for the club.
Ukrainian Interlude
In October 2010, Tiago signed a three-year contract with FC Karpaty Lviv in Ukraine. He was brought in to replace injured forward Batista. He made his Ukrainian Premier League debut on November 27, 2010, in a match against Zorya Luhansk. Tiago started the game but was substituted off after 56 minutes.
