Childhood and Early Life

On December 2, 1993, Albina Gonchar was born to Olesya Kalitievskaya and Sergey Zhovnnenko in Novomoskovsk, Ukraine. Her younger brother, Nikita, was born on November 27, 2007. Gonchar has a close bond with her family, often posting photos of them on her Instagram account.

From a young age, Gonchar loved to dream before bedtime. She would visualize her future, down to her shoes and inner state. She believed that these dreams helped shape her destiny.

Education and Theatre Career

In 2009, Gonchar joined the youth theater "Muraveynik" in her hometown. She performed in several plays, including "Kadish," "The Dawns Here Are Quiet...," "The Night Before Christmas," and "Pygmalion."

In 2011, Gonchar moved to Kharkiv to study at the Ivan Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts. She graduated in 2015 and also performed in several plays at the university's "Master Workshop 55," including "The Seagull" and "Three Tall Women."

Personal Life

On October 28, 2017, Gonchar married her longtime boyfriend, Leonid Gonchar. The couple met on May 4, 2014, and got engaged on June 3, 2017. They chose to wear unconventional beige knitted sweaters instead of traditional wedding attire.

Leonid Gonchar is also an actor and a graduate of the Ivan Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts. He is known for his roles in "Female Doctor-4," "Different Shores," "The Dog-6," and "Dress from Daisies."

Film Career

Gonchar made her film debut in 2018 with small roles in "Road Home," "Mail," and "Female Doctor-4." She went on to appear in "One Lie for Two" (2020), "Secret Doors" (2020), and "The Dog-6" (2020).

Gonchar has expressed a desire to play strong, reflective women with big hearts and to portray characters of different ages. She has also appeared in commercials and voiced Regina Todorenko in the Ukrainian version of the travel show "Heads and Tails" since 2019.

Recent Work

In 2021, Gonchar starred in the second season of the Ukrainian comedy-melodrama "Papik." She also appeared in the series "100 Thousand Minutes Together," which followed a couple navigating a relationship crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic.
