Biography of Alec Baldwin
Alec Baldwin, born Alexander Rae Baldwin III, is an American actor known for his roles in movies such as "The Edge" (1997) and "The Marrying Man" (1991), as well as the TV series "30 Rock" (2006-2013). He is part of the famous Baldwin brothers, which include William, Daniel, and Stephen, all of whom are active actors in various film and television projects. While the other Baldwin brothers are currently working on lesser-known projects, Alec regularly adds high-profile works to his filmography, such as the blockbuster "Mission: Impossible - Fallout," set to premiere on July 26, 2018.

Early Life and Education
Alec Baldwin was born on April 3, 1958, in Amityville, New York, USA, to Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr., a high school history and social studies teacher and football coach, and Carol Newcomb Baldwin. In addition to his three famous brothers, Alec has two sisters named Beth and Jane. He grew up in Massapequa, New York, and attended Alfred G. Berner Middle School. During his school years, Alec played American football, coached by former football player Bob Reifsnyder. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at The George Washington University, where he studied from 1976 to 1979.

While studying at this university, in 1979, Alec ran for the position of Student Body President but lost by only two votes. This defeat was softened by a letter from then-President of the United States Richard Nixon, who had a mutual acquaintance with Baldwin. In his letter, the head of state encouraged the 21-year-old Alec to see this setback as a valuable experience.

After graduating from The George Washington University with a degree in political science, Alec enrolled at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. This School of Arts collaborated closely with the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and Baldwin actually studied at this institute under the guidance of acting instructors Jeffrey Horn and Mira Rostova. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York University in 1994, at the age of 36.
