Alejandro Santo Domingo is an American-Colombian financier who was born on February 16, 1977, in New York City. He comes from a prominent Colombian family, with his father being Julio Mario Santo Domingo, one of the wealthiest individuals in the world and a well-known businessman and politician. His mother, Beatrice Dávila Rocha, is a renowned socialite.

Education and Early Life
Alejandro attended the prestigious Hotchkiss School, a boarding school located in Connecticut. After completing his education there, he went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in History from Harvard University.

Family and Career
Alejandro Santo Domingo has two brothers. His younger brother, Andres Santo Domingo, is the founder and president of Kemado Records, a record label. Unfortunately, his older half-brother, Julio Mario Santo Domingo, Jr., who was the former director of the Santo Domingo Group, passed away in March 2009.
Currently, Alejandro focuses on managing the family business empire, the Santo Domingo Group, which consists of over 100 companies in various industries. He serves as the chairman of Grupo Empresarial Bavaria S.A., a private subsidiary of SABMiller, where he holds the position of Vice Chairman for Latin America.
Alejandro's maternal cousin, Carlos Alejandro Perez Davila, a former investment banker from the financial giant Goldman Sachs, assists him in managing the family portfolio. Together, they also hold positions as Managing Directors at Quadrant Capital Advisors, Inc., a New York-based company. Alejandro is also involved in various advisory boards, including Valorem S.A., Comunican S.A., and Caracol Television S.A.
Philanthropy
In 2009, Alejandro Santo Domingo was invited to join the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He currently serves on the board of directors for Endeavor Colombia, a non-profit development organization that provides support and financing to entrepreneurs in emerging markets. He is also a member of the Latin America Council of The Nature Conservancy, a charitable organization focused on conservation.
Furthermore, Alejandro serves as the Treasurer for the Aid for AIDS Charity and sits on the board of directors for DKMS Americas, a non-profit organization and the world's largest bone marrow donor center.
