Early Life and Education

Lieutenant General Viktor Anatolyevich Yevtukhovich was born on April 15, 1959, in Luhansk, Ukraine. He embarked on his military journey by graduating from the Baku Higher Combined Arms Command School named after the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR in 1980. Subsequently, he pursued advanced training at the Marshal R. Y. Malinovsky Military Academy of Armored Forces in 1989 and the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in 2008.

Military Career

Command Positions

In November 2003, Yevtukhovich assumed the mantle of Commander of the 4th Guards Kantemirovskaya Tank Division named after Yu. V. Andropov, a position he held until July 2006. He then served as Deputy Chief of Staff of the 41st Combined Arms Army from June 2008 to July 2009.

From July 2009 to August 2010, Yevtukhovich became the Chief of Staff of the 41st Combined Arms Army, stationed in Novosibirsk. In August 2010, he was appointed Acting Commander of the 29th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District.

Senior Leadership

Yevtukhovich's stellar military record earned him the appointment as Commander of the 29th Combined Arms Army by a Presidential decree on January 9, 2011. His exceptional leadership qualities were recognized when he was promoted to Lieutenant General on February 22, 2013.

In July 2014, Yevtukhovich was elevated to the position of Deputy Commander of the Southern Military District. His strategic acumen and combat experience were further tested when he served as Chief Military Advisor in Syria in 2016.

Academic and Administrative Roles

In 2019, Yevtukhovich was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Military Educational and Scientific Center of the Ground Forces, "Combined Arms Academy of the Russian Armed Forces." He has skillfully guided the institution as its Head since then.
