Early Life and Education

Alexander Volohov was born on November 30, 1981, in Kuibyshev (now Samara), Russia. Despite his family's lack of artistic background, young Volohov yearned to become a hockey player and joined a team. However, his aspirations were short-lived due to his parents' busy schedules. He eventually discovered his talent for aerobics, where his flexibility and gracefulness laid the foundation for his future comedic career.

Comedy and Creative Pursuits

It was during his university years at Samara State Aerospace University that Volohov's comedic talent manifested itself on the student theater stage. He quickly rose to prominence as a member of the university's KVN team, "SOK," known for its witty humor and memorable characters. Volohov often played timid and shy individuals, receiving slapstick punishments from the team's captain, Dmitry Kolchin, in almost every skit.

Following the team's disbandment, Volohov continued his comedic pursuits, making numerous connections in the entertainment industry. In 2014, he joined the popular comedy show, Comedy Woman, where he honed his ability to portray diverse characters and expand his artistic horizons.

In 2017, Volohov embarked on a new challenge as the host of the comedy program "Show Vykhodnogo Dnya" on STS.

Film Career

Volohov's desire to broaden his creative range led him to the film industry. His debut came in a small role in the sitcom "Univer. Novaya Obshchaga." He gained wider recognition for his portrayal of Kotletos in the comedy "Borodach," alongside fellow KVN comedians Mikhail Galustyan, Demis Karibidis, and Dmitry Nikulin.

In the comedy series "Chuma!" and its subsequent sequel "Chuma! Vtoraya Volna," Volohov played a town crier. In 2021, he starred as the protagonist, Ivan Popov, in the pandemic-themed series "Afera," alongside Artem Gaidukov and Danil Steklov. He also appeared in the comedy series "Otpusk" as the Cossack Tikhon, sharing the screen with renowned actors such as Tatyana Dogileva and Pavel Maikov.

Personal Life and Hobbies

Volohov keeps his personal life private, but has shared snippets of his marital bliss. His wife runs a successful beauty business in Samara. Despite living in separate cities, they maintain a strong connection, with Volohov often visiting his family in Samara and his wife occasionally traveling to Moscow.

Volohov remains passionate about hockey and enjoys spending his free time on the ice. During the summer, he retreats to a tourist base on an island in the Volga River with his family.

Recent Projects

In 2022, Volohov gained further prominence as the lead actor in the series "Afera," which premiered on Russian television in May.
