Biography of Alen Papak

Alen Papak, a resident of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is currently seeking compensation for the damage caused to him by doctors. After undergoing surgery for gastric ulcers, his condition did not improve. It was only many years later, when he was admitted to the hospital again, that it was discovered that surgeons had left a pair of 12cm scissors in his abdominal cavity.

Early Life and Medical Condition

Alen Papak, 38 years old, has been living in Bosnia and Herzegovina since birth. At some point, he began experiencing severe stomach discomfort. Upon examination, he was diagnosed with gastric ulcers and was informed that surgery was necessary. Alen agreed to the operation and was successfully operated on in 2003 at Mostar Hospital. However, there was a slight exception - surgeons accidentally left a pair of 12cm scissors in his abdominal cavity.

Years of Suffering

Over the years, Alen's health deteriorated and he constantly suffered from various ailments. He attributed all his health issues to the scissors that had been left inside his body. Occasionally, the pain in his abdomen would become unbearable, but he hoped that it would eventually subside. Alen's patience lasted for about 10 years, during which he did not seek medical attention. However, in 2014, he could no longer tolerate the pain and finally sought medical help.

The Shocking Discovery

Alen underwent an X-ray examination, and to his surprise, the silhouette of surgical scissors appeared on the computer screen. Understandably, Alen was shocked to see such an object inside his own body. "All these years, I suffered and endured terrible pain, and only now it became clear what caused it," says the disappointed patient. The medical professionals were also shocked to see such a tool inside a patient, as it indicated a complete professional failure. Alen was also surprised to learn that the doctors were horrified by the presence of the scissors in his body, but they seemed indifferent to the suffering he had endured for all those years.

Seeking Compensation

Alen required another surgery to remove the scissors from his abdomen. Now, it was time for him to demand compensation from the negligent doctors who had made such a grave mistake in the operating room. Without delay, he filed a lawsuit against the hospital and is now awaiting the results of the legal process and the compensation he will receive.
