He is the brother of professional paintball star Maximus Lundqvist. Growing weary of repeatedly shaving his head during his service, Lundqvist vowed to never do so again.

After his military experience, Lundqvist pursued computer design. Inspired by his unique appearance, he created striking photographs that caught the attention of photographer Bruce Weber and key figures in the fashion industry. In 1994, at the tender age of 18, Lundqvist's modeling career took off.
