Early Life and Family
Ivana Alawi, a Filipina-Moroccan actress, model, and YouTuber, was born to a Filipino mother and a Moroccan father. She was raised with three siblings; her younger brother is former child actress Mona Louise Rey.
StarStruck and GMA Career
Alawi first gained recognition as a contestant on the sixth season of GMA-7's StarStruck, which aired in 2015. Her performance earned her a contract with GMA Artist Center. In 2018, she made her acting debut in ABS-CBN's romantic drama "Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Araw Gabi."
Film Success and Awards
Alawi's film career began in 2019 with her role as Amara in "Ang Probinsyano." She went on to star in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry "3pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon!" and portray Lolita in "Sino ang Maysala?: Mea Culpa." For her performance in the latter, she received a Best New Female Personality award at the 33rd PMPC Star Awards for Television.
