Early Life and Amateur Career
Alexander Gvozdyk, a prominent Ukrainian professional boxer, rose to prominence in the light heavyweight division (175 lb, 79.4 kg). He adorned his career with an impressive amateur record, including a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games and a gold medal at the 2013 Summer Universiade.

Professional Career
In February 2014, Gvozdyk ventured to the United States and signed a contract with Top Rank. He made his professional debut in April 2014 and quickly established himself as a force in the light heavyweight division.
Over the next few years, he notched up significant victories, culminating in his WBC world title win in December 2018. Gvozdyk defended his title once before losing it to Artur Beterbiev in October 2019.
