Early Career and Success in Futsal
Alexander Khamidulin began his career in futsal, a variant of indoor soccer. He excelled in the AMF (Association Mondiale de Futsal) format, winning titles both domestically in Russia and internationally. At the 1995 European Futsal Championship, he played a pivotal role in Russia's silver medal victory and earned the distinction of best player of the tournament.
Transition to Mini-Football and Stellar Performances at TTG-Java
After his futsal achievements, Khamidulin decided to switch to mini-football, a separate variant of indoor soccer. He had previously made appearances for Sargon and Zarya in mini-football, but his move to TTG-Java marked a significant turning point in his career. In three successful seasons there, he established himself as a talented player.
Golden Era with Spartak Moscow
In 2000, Khamidulin joined Spartak Moscow, where he enjoyed the most illustrious period of his career. In the 2000/01 season, Spartak claimed the championship title, with Khamidulin earning recognition as the league's best player. The following season, Spartak won the Russian Cup, again with Khamidulin as the tournament's top performer. He scored both goals in the final against Dina Moscow and also led the team to victory in the Russian Super Cup.
Later Career and Return to Futsal
Khamidulin left Spartak in 2004 and joined Arbat. He later returned to futsal, playing for Dynamo Moscow, Dynamo-2 Moscow, and other clubs. In 2010, at the age of 42, he rejoined the Spartak futsal team.
International Appearances and Honors
