Early Life and Club Career
Born and Raised in AsiriMuhanned Assiri was born in the Asiri province and began his football journey at Al-Wehda Mecca in 2007. In January 2010, he made a mark by scoring a hat-trick against Najran in the Saudi Professional League (SPL).
Splendor and Relegation with Al-Wehda
The 2010/11 season saw Assiri emerge as the SPL's top scorer with 14 goals. However, Al-Wehda failed to retain their top-flight status. The following year, they played in the First Division.
Joining the Big Clubs
Assiri moved to Al-Shabab in early 2013 and then joined Al-Ahli Jeddah in mid-2014. He has since enjoyed great success with both clubs.
International Career
Debut and Debut GoalOn May 21, 2010, Assiri debuted for the Saudi Arabian national team against DR Congo in Austria. In October, he scored his first international goal in a friendly against Uzbekistan.
Gulf Cup and Asian Cup
Assiri helped Saudi Arabia reach the final of the 2010 Gulf Cup of Nations, scoring once in the tournament. He was included in the squad for the 2011 Asian Cup but did not feature in any matches.
