A Soviet scientist, the Director of the Pushkin Experimental Station of the All-Union Institute of Plant Growing. Ukrainian by nationality.
Arrest and Trial
On July 17, 1937, he was arrested. A member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) since 1919, his arrest and subsequent trial were carried out by the Visiting Session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR in Leningrad. On November 30, 1937, he was sentenced to death under Articles 58-7-8-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR.
Execution
The sentence was carried out on the same day, November 30, 1937, in Leningrad.
Collaboration with Nikolai Vavilov
He was a close associate of Nikolai Vavilov, a renowned Soviet geneticist and botanist.
