Early Life and EducationVladimir Spivakov began his musical journey in Moscow, where he studied violin at the Moscow Conservatory under the tutelage of renowned pedagogue Yuri Yankelevich. His exceptional talent and dedication propelled him to pursue further studies as a postgraduate student with Leonid Kogan from 1977 to 1979.
International Acclaim
Spivakov's international recognition commenced with his triumph at the prestigious Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud International Competition in Paris in 1975. This victory marked a significant milestone in his career, leading to numerous concert tours across the globe.
Career in France
In the early 1980s, Spivakov faced difficulties traveling outside the Soviet Union. Seeking artistic freedom, he decided to leave his homeland in 1985 and establish his residence in Paris. From that point forward, he embarked on a distinguished career within the vibrant musical scene of France.
Pedagogical and Artistic Endeavors
Beyond his captivating performances, Spivakov is also an esteemed professor at the Conservatoire de Versailles. He founded the "MusiCimes" festival in Courchevel and the ensemble "Ricercata de Paris" in 1993. Additionally, he serves as artistic director of the record label "Suoni e Colori," which specializes in chamber music recordings.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the world of classical music, Spivakov has received numerous honors. Most notably, he has presided over the jury of the International Yuri Yankelevich Violin Competition in Omsk since 2009.
