Ali Ahmadov, an esteemed Azerbaijani political statesman, serves as Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the ruling "Yeni Azerbaijan" party. Born on January 27, 1953, in the village of Dara, Basarkechar District (presently in Armenia), Ahmadov has made significant contributions to Azerbaijan's political landscape.

Academic and Professional Background

Ahmadov received his higher education from the prestigious Moscow State Historical and Archival Institute, where he graduated from the Historical Faculty. His professional career began in 1975 at the Central Archival Administration as a Chief Research Fellow. He subsequently assumed the directorship of the Central Scientific Archive of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NANA).

In 1980, Ahmadov joined the faculty of Azerbaijan State University, where he held various positions from Laboratory Assistant to Head of the Department of Sociology and Political Science. His academic achievements include obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy degree.

Political Journey

Ahmadov's political journey commenced in 1999 when he was elected Executive Secretary of the newly formed "Yeni Azerbaijan" party. His unwavering commitment and leadership within the party led to his election as Deputy Chairman in 2005.

From 1999 to 2000, Ahmadov served as Head of the Executive Committee of Khatai District in Baku.
