Transition to Acting
Upon her return to the US, Ali moved to Los Angeles, California, with her boyfriend. On the advice of a friend, she started taking acting classes. Her best friend, Amy Smart, and Ali shared an apartment and eventually ventured into acting together. Larter also lived in Miami and New York in the spring of 2002. The film also became her first box office success.
