Biography of Alibi
Alibi is a pop group formed by Zavalskaya Anna Alexandrovna and Zavalskaya Angelina Alexandrovna. They were born on June 16, 1982 and November 10, 1983 respectively in Kiev. From a young age, the sisters Anna and Lina have been passionately involved in music and singing. They have been performing as a duet since they can remember. At the age of five, they started soloing as part of the folk group "Strumochek," which has won awards at 17 international festivals and toured over 15 countries around the world.
They then ventured into pop music, making their debut at the age of 7-9 in the children's music TV contest "Fant-Lotto Nadezhda" as the duo "Alga," performing songs by well-known composers and poets. Anna and Alina became active participants in the music TV contest "Zvezdy, na stenu!" and later became hosts of the show on the First National Channel starting from 1996.
The duo "Vizavi" was born, and the girls started experimenting with writing their own songs, with Lina composing the music and Anna writing the lyrics. They began their professional music career at this creative stage. In 1997, Anna and Alina graduated with honors from the 32nd music school in Kiev, specializing in violin.
In 1998, they enrolled in the Kiev State College of Variety and Circus Arts on the faculty of pop vocals. Their work on the radio station "Z" for three years with their own programs "Z RELAX" and "Hip-hop non-stop" allowed the girls to develop and refine their musical taste, as well as define their own style.
In December 1998, the girl quartet "Kapuchchino" was created, with Anna and Lina as the lead vocalists. They recorded two audio albums: "Kapli dozhdya" (1999) and "Devushka s vostoka" (2000). They also filmed four music videos: "Kapuchchino," "Milyy malchik," "Novaya skazka," and "Ne smotri na menya."
In March 2000, Anna and Lina, together with their co-producer A. Zavalsky, decided to leave the group due to creative differences. In 2002, Anna and Angelina graduated with honors from the Kiev State College of Variety and Circus Arts and enrolled in the State Academy of Leading Personnel of Culture and Arts on the faculty of theater and pop music directing.
