Biography of Alice Krige

Alice Krige is a South African actress, best known for her role as the Borg Queen in the film "Star Trek: First Contact". She was born on June 28, 1954, in Upington, South Africa, to psychologist Pat and therapist Louis Krige.

Early Life and Education

In 1976, Alice moved to London, intending to follow in her parents' footsteps and become a doctor. However, her plans changed after she began attending acting courses at Rhodes University. She later enrolled at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London to study dramatic arts.

Career

Alice made her film debut in 1979, with a role in the television project "A Tale of Two Cities". She then went on to portray Sybilla Gordon in the historical drama "Chariots of Fire" (1981) and Eva Galli/Alma Mobley in the film "Ghost Story" (1981). She also appeared in the television series "Murder, She Wrote" (1984-1996) and played Versavious in the film "King David" (1985). In 1988, she portrayed Mary Shelley in the drama "Haunted Summer".

In addition to her film work, Alice also performed on stage and appeared in numerous television projects in both the United States and England. Some of her notable television roles include "Badja Oklahoma" (1988), "Ladykiller" (1992), "Ellis Island" (1984), and "The Red and the Black" (1993).
