After serving two years in the Israeli army, Tal began her acting career. Her debut was in the children's music program "Pim Pam Po 2," where she played the role of an evil witch despite her delicate princess-like appearance. She soon appeared in a commercial for laundry detergent and landed her first major role as Lilach in the Israeli series "Being A Star." This was followed by roles in "Guest Rooms," a series about a family involved in the hotel business, and "The Pijamas," a sitcom about the daily lives of a musical group. Tal's exceptional musical talent and beautiful vocals were showcased during her three seasons in "The Pijamas," where she also played the piano and guitar.

Move to the United States

After relocating to New York City to be closer to her sister, Tal initially pursued a career in music. However, she eventually moved to Los Angeles, California, after catching the attention of director Rob Thomas, who considered her for the lead role in the series "Veronica Mars." Although the role ultimately went to Kristen Bell, Tal impressed Thomas and was offered the role of Meg Manning, initially Veronica's friend and later her rival. Tal gained popularity in the United States through her portrayal of Meg Manning, and her final episode aired in April 2006. Within a short period, Tal learned to speak with an American accent.

In August of the same year, Tal auditioned for a role in the supernatural series "Supernatural." She initially played the character Alex, a minor role as Dean Winchester's friend. However, due to the overwhelming response from fans, Tal returned as Jo Harvelle, one of the hunters of supernatural forces. Jo's character tragically died in the 10th episode of the 5th season, much to the disappointment of fans.
