Early Life and Career Beginnings

Alperen Duymaz was born in Ankara, Turkey, on November 3, 1992. Growing up, he was surrounded by the influence of his schoolteacher father and three older sisters. With a passion for literature, his favorite room in the house was the library.

In his youth, Duymaz pursued music, even winning a talent competition. However, he eventually decided against a career in music and turned to fitness. His striking appearance and athletic physique opened doors for him in modeling.

After confidently performing in front of the camera as a model, Duymaz realized his potential for acting. Despite initially aspiring to become a pilot, he stumbled upon his true calling during theater workshops. Inspired by his ability to evoke diverse emotions on stage, he knew he could not be confined to an office job.

Educational Journey

Duymaz pursued higher education at the Hacettepe University State Conservatory, a renowned institution for training musicians and actors. However, his eagerness to pursue his career led him to leave the conservatory before graduating due to its strict policy against balancing studies and filming.

Duymaz's acting debut came in 2015's "Tatli Küçük Yalancilar," the Turkish adaptation of "Pretty Little Liars." His role as Cenk Celik established him as a charismatic and enigmatic character.

Throughout his career, Duymaz has consistently been cast in lead roles, often portraying complex characters with troubled pasts. In "Acı Aşk," he played the role of Ali, a young man willing to go to any lengths for love. In "Bodrum Masalı," he transformed into Ateş, a wealthy but dispossessed teenager.

Notable Roles and Breakthrough

Duymaz's portrayal of Commissioner Emrah in the crime drama "Çukur" garnered widespread recognition. The series combined action and intense emotional scenes, allowing Duymaz to showcase his versatility.

He achieved even greater popularity with the crime thriller "Çarpışma." To prepare for his role as Kerem, a former inmate, Duymaz conducted thorough research by visiting prisons and engaging with incarcerated individuals. He drew parallels between Kerem's character and a stray dog, emphasizing their deep loyalty to family.

In 2020, Duymaz starred in "Zemheri" as Ayaz, a man torn between love and obligation. The series further showcased his acting prowess and chemistry with co-star Ayça Ayşin Turan.

Later Projects and Current Work

Duymaz continued to add to his filmography with "Son Yaz," a crime thriller that featured an ensemble cast. He also appeared in "Ego," a controversial drama series in which his character agrees to impregnate a woman for money.

In 2024, Duymaz starred in the drama "Kül," portraying a mysterious carpenter who sets off a chain of conflicts in a wealthy woman's life. The film premiered on Netflix on February 9th.

Personal Life

Duymaz values his privacy and avoids excessive public attention. He married Kübra Kelkit, a schoolteacher, in a private ceremony in 2020. Prior to their marriage, he had a relationship with Burcu Özberk.
