Biography of Aly & AJ

Aly & AJ is a duo consisting of two sisters who are talented songwriters, guitar players, and actresses. Alison and Amanda Joy, known as Aly & AJ, were born in Torrance, California but spent most of their childhood in Seattle, Washington. They both developed a passion for music from a young age.

"I think it all started when we were 3 and 5 years old. We used to sing together in church and school plays," says Aly. Both sisters write their own songs, play the guitar, and are also accomplished actresses.

The duo Aly & AJ was formed in the United States in 2005. Their music falls under the genres of Pop and Rock. They released their debut album, "Into the Rush," on August 16, 2005. The album was reissued as "Into the Rush: Deluxe Edition" on August 6, 2006. Their second album, "Acoustic Hearts of Winter," was released on September 26, 2006.
