Early Life and Club CareerAli Daei was born on March 19, 1969, in Ardabil, Iran. He began his football career in his hometown team before moving to Tehran to play for various clubs such as Esteghlal, Texarani, Bank, and Persepolis. In 1996, he played for Al Sadd in Qatar, followed by stints at Arminia in Germany and Hertha in Berlin. He then moved to Al Shabab in the United Arab Emirates. National Team Career
Daei made his debut for the Iranian national team on June 6, 1993, in a match against Pakistan. He quickly became a leader and the top goal scorer for the team. Daei scored a remarkable 82 goals for the national team, a record that was only surpassed by Ferenc Puskas. He was also the captain of the team and participated in various tournaments, including the World Cup and the Asian Cup.
