Ambre Neben, born on February 18, 1975, is an American cyclist and talented athlete who achieved remarkable success in the sport of cycling.

Early Life and Education
In her earlier years, Ambre Neben, like most boys and girls her age, was interested in soccer and cross-country running. She pursued her passion for running and participated in numerous competitions. However, after sustaining an injury, Neben was forced to give up running but not sports altogether.

After completing high school, Neben enrolled at the University of Nebraska, where she continued her running career and participated in various races. She excelled academically at the university and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Later, she pursued her Master's degree in Biology at the University of California.
Cycling Career
Around 2001, Ambre Neben shifted her focus to cycling and actively participated in various cycling competitions. A significant turning point in her career came during the Women's Challenge race in 2001, where she achieved a highly prestigious victory. At that time, Neben became the only woman from the United States to win a stage of the Women's Challenge.
Neben subsequently concentrated solely on road racing and was selected to represent the United States in the Road World Championships in 2001 and 2002. In 2003, she competed in the Montreal World Cup race but faced a setback due to a doping scandal. Neben sought arbitration and was suspended from competition for six months. She was also obligated to undergo voluntary doping control for 18 months.
Success and Olympic Participation
Spring of 2005 proved to be extremely successful for Ambre Neben as she won the Tour de l'Aude. The following year, she once again emerged victorious in the same competition. Currently, Neben is preparing for the upcoming 2008 Olympics, which will be held in Beijing.
