Biography of Amy Kaddik

Amy Kaddik, a 25-year-old British woman, experienced a terrible allergic reaction to hair dye. Inspired by the Hollywood stars' transformation, Amy wanted to change her appearance and decided to dye her roots one color and bleach the ends, just like Amber Heard, Jessica Alba, and Khloe Kardashian. However, two days after the coloring, Amy found herself in the Royal Liverpool Hospital with her face uncontrollably swelling. She could hardly breathe due to the closure of her airways, and her children were too scared to even look at her.
Living in Liverpool with her 27-year-old partner Eddie and their two children, 5-year-old Lucy and 1-year-old Ellie, Amy spent £45 on the trendy hair coloring procedure. Little did she know that she would spend three days in a hospital bed and another week visiting doctors to reduce the swelling on her face. Amy had never been to a salon before, but this one looked elite. The hairdresser applied two dyes on her head without conducting any allergy tests. After 50 minutes, the dye was removed, and Amy left the salon feeling satisfied with the procedure.
That night, Amy noticed a slight itchiness on her scalp. The next morning, she woke up with her scalp and forehead swollen. She recalls her daughters asking, "Mom, what happened to your face?" and she had no answer. She went to a local therapist who prescribed her steroids and painkillers. However, the next day, her swelling increased to the point where she couldn't close her eyes. Breathing became difficult due to the swelling in her throat.
Amy describes how her head swelled up, and transparent fluid oozed out of her skin, tangling her hair. Her skin became sensitive, and the swelling spread to her lower face, moving towards her throat. She looked like a monster, and her children couldn't bear to see her. While Eddie took care of the girls, Amy's grandparents rushed her to the hospital. She couldn't even lift her head.
Amy was terrified. She felt as if she was dying. The swelling became so severe that it started to put pressure on her brain. Doctors informed her that her airways were completely blocked, making breathing difficult and putting her at risk of suffocation. She was shocked. Never in a million years did she think that a new hairstyle would lead her to this.
Now, Amy's hair is severely damaged and has an uneven texture. She has contacted a lawyer in hopes of seeking compensation. She is convinced that the hairdresser acted unprofessionally by not conducting the necessary allergy tests.
Amy says, "If the tests had been done properly, my skin would have reacted with fewer consequences, and I would have never agreed to undergo such a coloring procedure."
"This negligence almost cost me my life. When you leave a hair salon, you expect to feel like a million dollars, not to end up hooked up to an IV drip. My children could have been left without a mother because of this mistake. This serious error could have taken my life."
"I am horrified by what is happening to my hair now. I will never dye my hair again."
