Biography of Anastasia Makarevich

Childhood and Youth

Anastasia Makarevich (Kapralova), the lead vocalist and undisputed leader of the popular 90s group "Litsiya", was born in the spring of 1977 in a family of journalist-diplomat Alexander Georgievich and economist Valeria Vernaldovna Kapralova. Her parents divorced when she was 8 years old, due to her biological father's alcoholism. After the divorce, Anastasia's biological father was not involved in her life. Her mother remarried architect and musician Alexey Makarevich, who became a father figure for her. At the age of 16, when it was time to get a passport, Anastasia took the surname Makarevich and the patronymic Alekseevna. It was later revealed that the founder of the "Mashina Vremeni" group, Andrey Makarevich, is Alexey Makarevich's cousin.
