Anatoly Avrutin: A Renowned Belarusian Poet and Literary Figure

Early Life and Career

Anatoly Avrutin was born in the family of a railway engineer in Belarus. He graduated from the history faculty of the Belarusian State University in 1972. His career in journalism began as the chief editor of the magazine "Personal Life" and later as a columnist for the newspaper "Soviet Belarus." He also held the position of first deputy chief editor of the newspaper "Belarus."

Avrutin's literary debut as a poet occurred in 1973 in the newspaper "Belarusian Railwayman." He has since published numerous poetry collections both in Belarus and Russia, including:
