Early Life
In his childhood, Anders Johansson played the piano, but at the age of 14, he switched to playing the drums. He showed great talent and dedication to his craft throughout his early years. In 1979, he began studying at the School of Electronic Engineering, where he honed his skills further.
Career
In 1984, Anders Johansson moved to the United States to join his brother Jens in the band Yngwie Malmsteen. He played a significant role in the recording of five albums and participated in five concert tours with the group. After his time with Yngwie Malmsteen, he established himself as a highly sought-after studio and session musician.
Throughout his career, Anders Johansson has recorded and toured with numerous bands and artists. He has also released solo albums, both independently and in collaboration with his brother Jens. In addition to his musical endeavors, Anders and Jens Johansson manage their own record label, Heptagon Records.
Contributions and Recognition
Anders Johansson first joined HammerFall as a session drummer for their "Legacy" tour in 1999. Eventually, he became a permanent member of the band. He was also invited to contribute as a drummer on the album "The Great Fall" by the band Narnia.
Despite his current involvement with HammerFall, Anders Johansson is most recognized for his time with Yngwie Malmsteen.
