Early Career and Debut with Copenhagen
Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Cornelius began his football journey at the F.C. Copenhagen academy. He made his senior debut on 9 April 2013 in a Danish Superliga match against AGF, coming on as a substitute.
Breakthrough Season and European Adventure
The following season, Cornelius announced his arrival on the scene by scoring his first goal for Copenhagen in their league opener against FC Midtjylland. He also made his UEFA Champions League debut against Club Brugge in the qualifying rounds. After Copenhagen's elimination from the Champions League, he continued to feature in the Europa League, scoring against Molde FK.
Move to Cardiff City and International Debut
In the summer of 2013, Cornelius joined newly promoted Premier League side Cardiff City on a long-term contract. Meanwhile, he had already earned his first senior cap for Denmark in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic.
