Early Life and Education
Andriy Bohdan was born in 1976 in Lviv, Ukraine. He pursued higher legal education in the city and eventually moved to Kyiv.
Legal Career
In Kyiv, Bohdan worked for the law firm Pravis and as an assistant to a judge in the Kyiv Court of Appeal. In 2004, he became a partner at the firm Pyshkin and Partners, and in 2007, he founded the law firm Legal Counselors, where he served as managing partner.
Political Engagements
Bohdan ran for parliament in 2007 with the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense bloc and in 2014 with the Petro Poroshenko Bloc.
Government Service
Prior to 2010, Bohdan held several government positions, including Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Minister of Cabinet of Ministers. From 2013 to 2014, he served as the Government's Authorized Representative for Anti-Corruption Policy.
Association with Zelensky
In 2019, Bohdan became legal counsel to Volodymyr Zelensky's presidential campaign. Zelensky was later elected President of Ukraine, and Bohdan was appointed as his Chief of Staff in May 2019.
