Early Life and Education
Victor Palychevsky, a prominent Ukrainian and Russian entrepreneur, politician, and television host, was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. He attended School No. 51, now known as Kyiv Lyceum of International Relations, before pursuing his military studies at the Military Institute of the USSR Ministry of Defense in Moscow.
Military Service and Business Ventures
Palychevsky served in the Soviet Armed Forces from 1983 to 1991, including as a translator in Laos. He is fluent in four foreign languages, including Lao. After leaving the military, he ventured into various business projects in the United States and Russia. In the mid-2000s, he relocated to Ukraine after selling his Russian businesses.
Corporate Establishments and Medical Center
Over the years, Palychevsky has founded and led several companies in Ukraine, including "Food Aroma", "Eurolab", "Laboratory Research Center", "City Invest Service", and "New Aviation of Ukraine". In 2005, he became the Financial Director of the Eurolab clinic, which specializes in modern laboratory diagnostics, radiological studies, disease prevention, and longevity planning based on genetic research.
Political Engagements
In 1995, Palychevsky ran for the Russian State Duma on the "Beer Lovers' Party" ticket. While he did not win a seat, the party garnered 0.62% of the votes. In 2010, he was appointed as the First Deputy Minister of Ukraine for Family, Youth, and Sports, but resigned in July of that year. In June 2020, he established his own political party, "Palychevsky's Victory", and is a candidate for Mayor of Kyiv.
Television Career
Palychevsky began his television career in 2011 as a host on the "Inter" and First National channels. He presented several popular shows, including "Deep Drilling", "On Life", and "Kwasa Kwasa". In 2017, he briefly hosted a show on the "Pryamy" channel but later resigned due to disagreements with the channel's political stance. Since 2018, he has been a political expert on several Ukrainian news channels, including 112 Ukraine, NewsOne, and NASH.
Personal Life
Victor Palychevsky was married to Elena Palychevskaya for over 30 years. The couple divorced in 2012. He is the father of four children.
