Early Life and CareerAndrey Zhigalko is a Belarusian chess grandmaster who emerged as a prominent player in the early 2000s. Born and raised in Belarus, he honed his skills and rose through the ranks of youth chess circuits.
National and International Success
Zhigalko's talent and dedication propelled him to become Belarus's national champion in 2011. As a member of the Belarusian national team, he participated in seven World Chess Olympiads (2004-2016) and the European Team Chess Championship in 2013. Additionally, he represented Belarus in various world and European youth championships from 1999 to 2005, including two appearances in the World Youth U-16 Team Olympiads (1999, 2000).
