Early Life and CareerBorn in Hong Kong, Andy Lau began his career in the entertainment industry in 1981. He made his breakthrough role on the television series "Hong Kong 1941" (1982), which catapulted him to stardom in Hong Kong. In the same year, he made his film debut in "Once Upon a Rainbow."
