Biography of Anna Fenninger
Anna Fenninger is an Austrian alpine skier who is considered one of the most outstanding athletes among all Austrian female skiers. She has not only had brilliant performances in the World Cup and World Championships, but she has also won gold at the Olympic Games. Fenninger is known for her versatility, competing in all five alpine skiing disciplines.

Early Life
Anna Fenninger was born in Hallein, Austria, and currently resides in the village of Adnet near Salzburg. She began her skiing career at a young age and showed immense talent and dedication from the start.

Rise to Success
In 2006, Fenninger competed in the Junior World Championships, winning gold in the super-G, silver in the downhill, and finishing fifth in the slalom. Later that year, she made her debut in the World Cup, participating in the slalom event in Levi, Finland. In 2007, Fenninger earned her first World Cup points by finishing 16th in the giant slalom. She continued to improve her ranking, achieving fourth place in the super-combined event in St. Anton in 2007.

In 2008, Fenninger returned to the Junior World Championships, winning gold in the giant slalom and silver in the combined and downhill events. Throughout 2009, she consistently finished in the top ten in major skiing competitions, with her personal best being second place in the super-G in Cortina d'Ampezzo. At the World Championships in Val-d'Isère, Fenninger placed fourth in the super-G and seventh in the super-combined.

Fenninger also competed in the Junior World Championships again, winning bronze in the super-G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In the following season, she achieved three top-ten finishes. In 2010, Fenninger represented Austria at the Winter Olympics, finishing 16th in both the super-G and super-combined, and 25th in the downhill.

Record-Breaking Season
2011 was a remarkable season for Fenninger. She achieved 12 top-ten finishes in the World Cup, including two podium finishes. She finished the year ranked 12th overall. In the speed discipline, she ranked sixth in downhill and seventh in super-G. At the World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Fenninger won gold in the super-combined and silver in the team event.

At the Austrian Championships, she also won gold in the super-G. In 2014, Fenninger participated in the Winter Olympics in Sochi. She won gold in the super-G, beating her competitors by half a second. Just three days later, she won silver in the giant slalom. As of now, Fenninger has two Olympic medals (one gold) and three World Championship medals (one gold). She has won five World Cup races and has stood on the podium 24 times.
