Early Career

Gasser began her professional snowboarding career in the 2010-2011 season, hailing from the small Austrian town of Millstatt. In 2012, she achieved third place at the 6 Star O'Neill Evolution competition, followed by 13th place at the Burton European Open and 6th place at the Burton High Fives. At the FIS Snowboarding World Championships in 2013, Gasser finished 18th.

Rising Success

Prior to the Sochi Winter Olympics, Gasser's personal record, both overall and on the World Cup circuit, was a third-place finish at the Stoneham Games. In November 2013, she became the first female snowboarder to successfully execute the 'Cab Double Cork 900 kicker,' a trick involving a double backflip with a half twist.

Current Achievements and Future Prospects

Anna Gasser is widely regarded as one of the most exceptional female snowboarders in the world. Since November, she has participated in nearly every significant competition and has shown great potential for success at the Olympics. Her ability to showcase complex tricks and maneuvers will undoubtedly be an advantage in slopestyle, a discipline that requires not only speed and endurance but also difficult jumps and acrobatic moves. Gasser will face tough competition from skilled opponents, although notably, there are no Russian athletes in the mix. Nevertheless, Gasser has proven time and again that she is not afraid of challenges and can effortlessly perform difficult tricks. It is highly anticipated that she will excel at the Olympics and may even bring home an Olympic medal for her home country.
