She was a French film actress who had a successful career from 1927 to 1952, appearing in 46 films, including several Hollywood pictures in the late 1930s and 1940s.

Annabella had the opportunity to try her hand at acting when her father hosted a film producer at their home. As a result, she landed a minor role in a 1927 film. However, it was the French comedy musical "Le million" in 1931 that brought her out of obscurity and caught the attention of critics. Throughout the next decade, she solidified her status as one of the most popular actresses in French cinema.

Recognition and Hollywood Career

In 1936, Annabella won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice International Film Festival for her role in the war drama "Veille d'armes." She then gained international recognition when she played the lead role in the British melodrama "Wings of the Morning" in 1937, alongside actor Henry Fonda. This success led to her involvement in other Hollywood films, including the American drama "Suez" in 1938, alongside Tyrone Power and Loretta Young.

Annabella's romantic relationship with Tyrone Power became a subject of discussion in various film magazines, and they got married in 1939. However, their marriage ended in divorce in 1948.
