Anneliese van der Pol (born September 23, 1984) is a Danish-American actress and singer. She possesses a beautiful soprano and is constantly working on improving her singing technique.

Early Life and Family

Van der Pol was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, to William van der Pol, a Danish director of railway transportation at California State University, Fullerton, and Dyan Ross, an American originally from Brooklyn, New York. Her mother named her Anneliese after visiting the legendary Jewish girl Anne Frank's hiding place. In addition to Anneliese, the family also includes two older sisters, Rachel and Sara. When Anneliese was three years old, her family moved to her mother's homeland, the United States, and the children obtained dual citizenship in the Netherlands and the USA. Van der Pol attended Washington Elementary School in Bellflower, California. Starting in third grade, she began performing on stage and received theater training at the Orange County High School of the Arts. In 1999, she played the role of Eva Peron in the play "Evita" produced by the Buena Park Civic Theatre, which received positive reviews from the Los Angeles Times. By the age of fifteen, Anneliese became one of the youngest actresses to perform in professional productions. She participated in the play "Great Pretenders," where she appeared in a karaoke episode.
