Biography of Anthony Scaramucci
Anthony Scaramucci is an American financier, writer, and entrepreneur. He is most famous as the founder and one of the leaders of the investment firm 'SkyBridge Capital'.
Early Life and Education
Scaramucci was born on Long Island, New York, into a middle-class family. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Tufts University and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
Career
After graduating from Harvard, Scaramucci joined 'Goldman Sachs' and worked there from 1989 to 1996, specializing in investment strategies, equity capital, and private equity. In 1996, Scaramucci left 'Goldman Sachs' and co-founded 'Oscar Capital Management' with his colleague Andrew Boszhardt.
In 2001, 'Oscar Capital' was sold to 'Neuberger Berman', which was later acquired by 'Lehman Brothers' in 2003. Scaramucci became the managing director of the investment control division. In 2005, Scaramucci launched 'SkyBridge Capital', a global investment firm, where he currently serves as one of the managing partners.
'SkyBridge' has been recognized as the best multi-strategy hedge fund in the world by 'InvestHedge'. Under the umbrella of 'SkyBridge', the annual 'SALT' conference has been held in Las Vegas since 2009. In 2012, the conference expanded globally with the first event in Singapore.

In addition to his work in finance, Scaramucci is also known as a writer. He has published books such as 'Goodbye Gordon Gekko: How to Find Your Fortune Without Losing Your Soul' and 'The Little Book of Hedge Funds: What You Need to Know About Hedge Funds but the Managers Won't Tell You'.

In a personal meeting with Obama in September 2010, Scaramucci questioned when Obama would "stop whacking Wall Street like a piñata?". This divergence likely led Scaramucci to switch his support to another candidate.
