Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Bank "Gubernsky"

Alexander Smolensky has held the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bank "Gubernsky" (Moscow) since June 2004. He has also served as the head of the Expert Council of the All-Russian Public Organization "Delovaya Rossiya" since 2004.

Early Life and Education

Born in Moscow in 1966, Smolensky graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Moscow State University (MSU) named after M.V. Lomonosov in 1988. He went on to complete postgraduate studies at the same faculty in 1991.

Government Service

1991-1996: Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation

- 1991-1994: Specialist-expert in the group of experts to the President for operational analysis and forecasting of the socio-economic situation in the Russian Federation

- 1994: Deputy head of the group of experts to the President

- 1994-1996: Advisor to the Service of Presidential Assistants
1996-2004: Economic Management in the Government

- 1996-1997: Deputy head of the Secretariat to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation (A. Livshits)

- 1997-May 2004: Head of the Economic Department of the President of the Russian Federation

2002: Appointment to National Banking Council

Smolensky was appointed as a member of the National Banking Council by the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.
