Early Life and Education
Born in 1945, Stanislav Stanislavovich was a son of Polish parents, Stanislav Pavlovich and Sofia Antonovna. Graduating from the Zhytomyr Agricultural Institute in 1967 as an agronomist, he continued his studies at the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy, obtaining his Ph.D. in agricultural sciences in 1973.
Early Career
After military service, Stanislavovich worked as the chief agronomist and deputy chairman of a collective farm in Zhytomyr Oblast from 1967 to 1973. He then served as the head of the agricultural department of the Ruzhin district executive committee (1973-1975) and first secretary of the Lyubar District Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (1975-1979).
Political Career
Stanislavovich's political career began in 1979 as the first deputy chairman of the Zhytomyr Oblast Executive Committee. He rose through the ranks, becoming acting chairman in 1990 and chairman in April 1990. In June 1991, he was appointed first deputy chairman of the committee.
Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Stanislavovich served as chairman of the Zhytomyr Oblast Council of People's Deputies and Oblast Executive Committee from August 1991 to March 1992. From 1992 to 1994, he was the Presidential Representative in Zhytomyr Oblast.
Governor of Zhytomyr Oblast
In July 1994, Stanislavovich was elected chairman of the Zhytomyr Oblast Council of People's Deputies, a position he held until 1998. During this period, he also served as chairman of the Zhytomyr Oblast State Administration from July 1995 to April 1998.
Academic Career
In January 1999, Stanislavovich became the rector of the State Agro-Ecological Academy of Ukraine (now the Zhytomyr National Agro-Ecological University). He held this position until 2011 and became a professor in 2007. Stanislavovich specialized in the technology of storing and processing plant products.
Awards and Recognition
Stanislavovich's contributions were recognized with numerous awards, including the International "Druzhba" Prize (1998), the title of Honored Worker of Agriculture of Ukraine (2000), and the Distinguished Educator of Ukraine Award (1996). He received the Order of the Red Banner of Labor twice, the Order of the Badge of Honor, the Order of Merit, Third Class, and the Order of Merit for the City, Third Class. In 2005, he became an honorary citizen of Zhytomyr.
