Football Career

Luigi Cimenti is an Italian goalkeeper who gained prominence during his time with Salernitana from 1993 to 1997. In 1997, he joined Roma, becoming the backup to renowned Austrian goalkeeper Michael Konsel.

Rise as a Key Player

In 1999, Cimenti moved to Lecce, where he established himself as the primary goalkeeper for three seasons. From 2002 to 2005, he held a backup role to legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon at Juventus.

Juventus and Cagliari Stint

During the 2006/2007 season, Cimenti became the first-choice goalkeeper for Cagliari. In 2007, he transferred to Udinese, serving as a backup to Samir Handanovic. A year later, he returned to Juventus.
