Early Life and Career at Maccabi HaifaArik Benado was born in Haifa, Israel, and began his football journey at the tender age of nine. He joined the youth academy of Maccabi Haifa, where his two older brothers also played, following in the footsteps of his father, a former footballer for Maccabi Haifa in the late 1970s. In 1993, Benado broke into Maccabi Haifa's first team, where he would go on to win five league titles and one Israeli Cup.
Success with Beitar Jerusalem
In 1998, Benado left Maccabi Haifa for Beitar Jerusalem, where he spent two seasons before returning to his former club. During his time at Beitar Jerusalem, he made a significant contribution to the team's success.
International Career
At the international level, Benado played as a center-back for the Israeli national team. Known for his physicality and aerial prowess, he earned a reputation as a formidable defender. He faced renowned forwards both at the club and international levels.
Champions League Appearance
Benado had the opportunity to play for Maccabi Haifa in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, demonstrating his exceptional abilities on a European stage.
