Biography of Arjen Robben
Early Life and CareerArjen Robben is a Dutch football player and midfielder. He was born in Bedum, Netherlands. Robben started his football career playing for the local team, Bedum. He trained using the method created by Dutch coach Willem van Hanegem, which was named after him. His skills caught the attention of the local club Groningen, where he signed his first professional contract. Robben quickly earned a place in the first team and was named Player of the Year in Groningen after his first season.
Move to PSV
In the summer of 2002, Robben was bought by the club PSV Eindhoven for a transfer fee of 3.9 million euros. In his first season with PSV, he played 33 matches and scored 12 goals. Robben formed a strong attacking partnership with Mateja Kežman and helped PSV win the Dutch championship.
