Arkadii Voytyuk: Ukrainian Singer and Songwriter
Early Life and EducationArkadii Voytyuk, born on February 17, 1989, in Kovel, Ukraine, is a renowned singer and songwriter. Graduating high school with a gold medal in 2006, he pursued medical studies at the Ternopil State Medical University. His father, Arkady Arkadyevich Voytyuk, is a prominent physician in Kovel.
KVN and Musical Beginnings
Voytyuk's artistic journey commenced in 2008 with a triumph in a bard song contest in Volyn and Rivne. Subsequently, he joined the KVN team "VIP-Ternopil," achieving significant success in various Ukrainian competitions. They emerged as finalists in the Ukrainian Higher League, President's Cup, and champions of the "Fighter's Club" organized by the renowned comedy troupe "95th Quarter."
"X-Factor" and Breakthrough
In 2011, Voytyuk became a finalist on the Ukrainian talent show "X-Factor," mentored by the singer Yolka. His subsequent release of the English-language single "Let Me Free" in 2012 garnered widespread airplay on major radio stations in Ukraine.
"New Wave" and Charting Success
Voytyuk's international recognition soared in 2013 when he represented Ukraine at the "New Wave Festival." He released a music video for the song "Mamo," which became a hit on prominent music channels in Ukraine. This was followed by the release of the song "Vse Khorosho Yest." In 2014, Voytyuk earned a nomination for "Discovery of the Year" at the all-Ukrainian music awards "Yuna." He released his debut album, "G7," to critical acclaim.
Eurovision and "VIA Kipyatok"
Voytyuk participated in the semifinals of the Ukrainian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016. In 2017, he formed the musical group "VIA Kipyatok" with former "VIP Ternopil" teammates Taras Stadnytskyi and Viktor Hevko. They released their debut song, "Vypusknoy," in June 2017, marking a new chapter in Voytyuk's musical career.
