Armenian artist, designer, and curator, Harut Karapetyan has curated over 15 artistic projects, received many awards, and designed several unique historical encyclopedias, such as "Tartaria on old maps" and "Siberia. Atlas of the Asian Russia."
Early Life and Education
Born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1951, Karapetyan pursued his artistic education at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute (now known as Moscow State University of Printing) from 1969 to 1974.
Career
In 1994, Karapetyan co-founded the "Modius" gallery with Bagrat Arazyan. From 1998 to 2011, he served as the art director of the publishing house "Business Press."
Since 2006, Karapetyan has held the position of art director at the publishing and production center "Design. Information. Cartography" and the publishing house "Theory."
