Early Career and Domestic Success
Arnor Traustason is an Icelandic footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Austrian club Rapid Vienna and the Iceland national team. He began his career with hometown club Keflavík, making his debut in the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild in 2010. In 2012, he joined Norwegian side Sandefjord on loan, before moving to Swedish club Norrköping in 2014. With Norrköping, Traustason helped the team win the Allsvenskan title and the Swedish Super Cup in 2015.
Transfer to Rapid Vienna and Loan to AEK
In 2016, Traustason transferred to Rapid Vienna in Austria. He made his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga in 2016 and scored his first goal for the club in 2017. In the summer of 2017, he joined Greek club AEK on loan, making his debut in the Greek Super League in August.
International Career
Traustason made his debut for the Iceland national team in 2015 and scored his first international goal in 2016. He was included in Iceland's squad for the 2016 European Championship in France, where he played in matches against Austria and England and scored a goal against the former.
