Samvel Baghdasaryan: Armenian Footballer
Born in Armenia, Samvel Baghdasaryan is a talented football player known for his defensive skills.
Early Career and Injury
Baghdasaryan's promising football career took a turn in the summer of 2006 when he joined the Austrian club Pasching from Kilikia. After impressing the club's leadership during a trial, he signed a two-year contract with an option for a one-year extension. Unfortunately, during the early stages of the Austrian championship, Baghdasaryan sustained an injury that hindered his performance. Seven months later, his contract was mutually terminated due to the long recovery period.
International Debut and Retirement
In October 2005, Baghdasaryan was called up to the Armenian national team but did not make an appearance that year. His only international match came on March 1, 2006, against Cyprus in Limassol. Baghdasaryan started the game in the first half before being substituted for Artur Voskanyan.
Assistance to Young Players
Despite his brief international career, Baghdasaryan played a significant role in the development of other young Armenian footballers. Through his connections, he facilitated the signing of striker Vage Tadevosyan to the Swiss club Aarau in September 2006, without the need for a trial.
